If you own a AB or C style Hammond there is a serious problem with some models of these that will render them useless eventually. Check out this Page. We have overhauled a number of these now and about 50% of them have this problem. It would appear that the foam was used mostly in the 60's and early 70's. We have also found the same foam used in a Realistic Moog MG-1 causing similar problems. There is much discussion about this on the web both for and against. I can testify that it is happening. This foam is nasty stuff and corrodes anything it touches.
